Where to Find Gyro's Steel Ball in Stage 1
The A Bizarre Run steel ball location you need for Gyro's quest is in Stage 1, where a Gyro marker appears over the ball as you ride past it. Collecting it advances the questline toward unlocking Spin. The pickup is shared across the server, so another player can grab it before you arrive.
Start the quest before hunting for the ball:
- Talk to Gyro in the lobby to begin his questline.
- Slipstream for a total of 15 seconds. Enter Stage 1 and ride directly behind another player's horse to accumulate the required time.
- Find Gyro's Steel Ball during the next objective. Watch for the Gyro marker while traveling through Stage 1.
- Pick up the ball to complete the collection task.
Take a less crowded route when searching. Because the pickup disappears after someone collects it, following a pack of riders puts you behind other players competing for the same item.
For the opening slipstream task, stay behind another horse instead of immediately trying to pass it. You need time in the slipstream, so overtaking works against that objective.

Finish Stage 1 and Equip the Steel Ball
After collecting the quest item, Gyro's next task is to finish Stage 1 in the top 10. Use Shift to run faster on horseback, but watch your stamina: sprinting consumes it. Ride behind other horses for the slipstream boost, then use your sprint to protect your position.

Once that objective is complete, return to Gyro in the lobby. He rewards you with one Steel Ball and asks you to equip it from your inventory.
You must be Standless to equip the Steel Ball and continue the training. Remove your current Stand before trying to equip it; otherwise, the game displays an error. Spin occupies a Stand slot, so you cannot carry it alongside a regular Stand.
The Steel Ball also replaces your revolver. After equipping it, talk to Gyro again to continue the questline.
These secondary-item controls are useful once you have it equipped:
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| C | Pull out your secondary item |
| Hold C | Choose your secondary item |
Returning to the Lobby After a Completed Objective
A quest-completion banner means that objective has been saved to the server. For tasks completed during a race, you can reset after the banner appears and return to Gyro without finishing the remaining race.
Wait for the completion banner before resetting. The top-10 objective still requires you to finish Stage 1 in the required position.
Stage 2: Player Kills and the Disarmed Pin Bomb
With the Steel Ball equipped and Gyro's training underway, your next objective is to kill 10 players in Stage 2. Weapon PvP is allowed during this stage. Look for opportunities around crossings and checkpoints, where other racers gather.

After completing the combat task, speak with Gyro for the collection objective: pick up one disarmed Pin Bomb.
Search the river area in Stage 2, particularly the land a little farther along the track. Look beyond the water itself; the bomb usually appears on land past that section.
Follow this final sequence:
- Collect the disarmed Pin Bomb.
- Wait for the quest-completion banner.
- Return to Gyro in the lobby and speak with him.
- Open the Stand menu to access the completed Spin style.
Once the bomb objective registers, dying or resetting does not erase its completion. Finish the conversation with Gyro to unlock the full style, which uses two Steel Balls and includes its combat skills and counterattack.
