A Bizarre Run Sandman Guide: Movement and Combat Tips

What Does Sandman Do in A Bizarre Run?

A Bizarre Run Sandman lets you race on foot with stamina-powered speed and an explosive leap. His movement is designed to compete with horses and camels while opening routes across cliffs and elevated terrain. That makes route choice a central part of playing him: look beyond the road everyone else is following.

Sandman’s defining movement tools are:

  • Fast running: His high-speed movement depends on having enough stamina.
  • Explosive leap: A powerful jump helps him reach elevated locations.
  • Alternative routes: His movement opens shortcuts that mounted racers cannot reach.

His design aims to keep him competitive with mounts, rather than automatically faster than them. Plan around terrain access instead of expecting to win every straightaway.

Manage Stamina Before Chasing Shortcuts

Sandman has a stamina bar, just like the game’s mounts. His speed depends on that energy, so watch the bar while choosing your next stretch of terrain.

A Bizarre Run — Manage Stamina Before Chasing Shortcuts

Before committing to a detour, identify where it reconnects with the race route. Reaching a cliff is useful only if the path beyond it helps you keep moving toward the finish.

Use this checklist when assessing a shortcut:

  1. Find the landing area. Look for a clear destination before attempting the leap.
  2. Trace the exit. Identify how you will return to the main route or continue toward the finish.
  3. Check your stamina. Factor your remaining energy into the distance you intend to cover.
  4. Compare the hazards. Weigh the alternate route against the obstacles on the main path.

Avoid choosing a jump solely because it looks impressive. Use the leap to solve a specific terrain problem.

Adjust Your Route Between Race Stages

Stage one emphasizes riding, speed, and environmental sabotage. Players cannot shoot other players during this stage, but they can destroy parts of the environment, including the bridge, and obstruct routes.

A Bizarre Run — Adjust Your Route Between Race Stages

Watch the terrain ahead before following a group into a narrow crossing. With Sandman, look for an elevated alternative when the usual path becomes dangerous, and inspect the landing before committing.

After finishing stage one, racers board a train to stage two. During the trip, you can view your finish time, spectate other players, and visit the shop to buy secondary items or ammunition. Buy your supplies before entering the next stage’s PvP encounters.

Stage two adds direct PvP, bounties, and more survival pressure. Tornadoes can launch players, while the Boom Boom family pursues nearby racers after its event begins beyond the first checkpoint.

Keep these race conditions in mind:

  • Servers support up to 80 players.
  • Stage two offers easy, medium, and hard bounty targets.
  • Multiple players can target the same racer.

Check for pursuers before taking a detour. Reaching open terrain matters less if you lead several bounty hunters straight into your next fight.

Use Movement to Plan Your Fights

Sandman also has a Stand, giving his kit a combat component alongside its racing movement. Build your decisions around the terrain you can access: inspect nearby cliffs and alternate paths before approaching an opponent.

Account for firearms when choosing your distance. Revolver headshots deal higher damage and knock opponents farther away, while shotguns deliver heavy damage at short range. Dynamite can destroy parts of the environment and knock riders off their horses.

In stage two, defeating your bounty earns cash and points. You can also earn rewards by surviving your hunter or defeating them instead. Choose your target with the route ahead in mind, and avoid chasing an opponent into hazards just to finish the bounty.

The Saint’s Corpse Part creates another contested encounter. Its large spawn effect draws attention across the stage, and collecting it can awaken or progress certain Stands, including Tusk. Before approaching that fight, identify an exit across the surrounding terrain and check your stamina.
