A Bizarre Run How to Play: Controls and Racing Tips

How to Get Started in A Bizarre Run

A collapsing bridge can ruin your race faster than a slow horse. This A Bizarre Run how to play guide covers the controls, Stand selection, and survival mechanics you need before entering the competition. The key distinction is simple: Stage One emphasizes riding and environmental sabotage, while Stage Two adds direct player combat.

Play A Bizarre Run on Roblox, then work through the opening tutorial:

  1. Choose your starting Stand. The opening arrow sequence presents three randomly offered options. Pick from those choices rather than expecting access to the entire roster.
  2. Complete the riding tutorial. Learn how your mount handles, practice accelerating, and watch for routes beyond the main path.
  3. Finish the combat tutorial. Follow the lessons covering basic attacks, blocking, and abilities, then defeat the tutorial boss.
  4. Explore the lobby. Pick up quests for cash and rewards, visit the mount customization options, or begin Gyro’s quest line for Spin.
  5. Choose your mode. Enter the main race for staged competition or Battlegrounds for Stand combat without the race structure.

The launch race has two stages, with a train stop between them. Your priorities change along the way, so prepare for more than a sprint to the finish.

Learn the Horse, Stand, and Item Controls

Learn these PC controls before lining up. Recovering your horse quickly and selecting the right secondary item matter once the track gets crowded.

Additional riding controls include N to mount or dismount and Q to hang on your horse.

Manage Stamina and Slipstreaming

Accelerating with Shift consumes your mount’s stamina. Riding behind another racer while accelerating lets you use slipstreaming to gain momentum.

Follow another horse through a clear section, then use that momentum to challenge its position. Watch your stamina instead of holding Shift through every obstacle.

Save the one-time F boost for a stretch where you have room to use the extra speed. Spending it immediately before a dangerous crossing leaves less room to react.

Stage One: Race Fast and Sabotage the Track

Register for the race, complete the photo sequence, and head to the starting line. Once the countdown ends, the competition begins.

A Bizarre Run — Stage One: Race Fast and Sabotage the Track

You cannot shoot other players during Stage One. Your revolver still matters because it can trigger environmental destruction. Shoot TNT to cause explosions, interfere with routes, and bring down obstacles around other racers. Dynamite can also destroy terrain or knock riders off their horses.

Choose Routes Before Committing

The course includes shortcuts, cactus-filled terrain, a destructible bridge, and a steep downhill section near the finish.

  • Study shortcuts during the tutorial. Look around instead of watching only the direction arrow.
  • Check the bridge before crossing. Another racer can destroy it while riders are trying to pass.
  • Use the downhill alternative when the bridge looks dangerous. It trades potential position for avoiding that crossing.
  • Watch the final descent. A mistake near the finish can send your rider flying.

Sabotage works in both directions. You can destroy a shortcut behind you, but a racer ahead can do the same thing. Keep watching the route itself rather than assuming the path will remain open.

If an explosion knocks you off, use T to call your horse and get moving again.

Use the Train Stop to Prepare for Combat

After finishing a stage, you move to the train. Between Stage One and Stage Two, you can spectate other racers, see your finish time, and shop for supplies.

The train shop offers secondary equipment and ammunition, including:

  • Dynamite for destruction and disrupting riders.
  • Shotguns for close-range combat.
  • Lassos for capturing opponents.
  • Ammunition for your firearms.

Check your loadout before the next stage begins. Stage Two allows players to shoot one another, making supplies more important than they were during the opening race.

Remember that your fighting style can change your equipment. Tusk replaces the revolver with recharging nails, while Spin replaces it with steel balls. Prepare around the kit you actually have.

Stage Two: Survive Bounties, Checkpoints, and Ambushes

Stage Two is longer and combines racing with direct PvP, environmental hazards, and checkpoint encounters. Prioritize survival over position when a fight or obstacle threatens to end your run.

Pick a Bounty You Can Pursue

At the start of Stage Two, you receive three potential bounty targets with easy, medium, and hard threat levels. These reflect the targets’ threat and kills.

Defeating your target awards cash and points. You can also earn rewards by surviving the player hunting you or defeating that hunter.

Choose a lower-threat target while learning combat. Other players can select you, and multiple hunters can pursue the same racer, so stay alert even when you are focused on your own bounty.

Keep Moving After the First Checkpoint

Reach the opening checkpoint and survive the encounter there. The Boom Boom family appears after this section and targets nearby players.

Move away promptly after their arrival. Lingering close to the family can leave you fighting several NPCs while the rest of the race moves on.

Keep watching the terrain, too. Tornadoes can launch riders, and Cholla Cactus can knock players off their horses.

Watch the Elimination Requirement in Town

A later checkpoint requires a certain number of players to be eliminated before the border opens. Reaching town does not mean you can immediately continue toward the finish.

Read the checkpoint objective and stay aware of nearby opponents. If the encounter drags on, fog closes in and damages players, forcing the fight into a smaller area.

Keep an escape route in view during combat. Getting surrounded becomes especially dangerous when the fog starts restricting movement.

Decide Whether to Contest the Corpse Part

A Saint’s Corpse Part can appear during Stage Two with a large effect visible to everyone. Collecting it can awaken or progress certain Stands, including Tusk.

Expect competition around the spawn. Pursue it when you need that progression, but check the surrounding riders before committing to the fight.

Get More Stands, Unlock Spin, and Customize Your Mount

The lobby and race both contribute to your options beyond the starting Stand.

Find Stand Arrows and Reset Items

Look for Stand Arrows and Stand-reset items during Stage Two. Arrows let you obtain new Stands, while reset items let you replace your current one.

Stand Arrow fragments can also be crafted into a full arrow. Keep those fragments rather than overlooking them while collecting rewards.

Practice your current abilities before spending resources chasing another kit. Knowing your attacks, defensive options, and movement tools helps during the elimination checkpoint.

Complete Gyro’s Quest Line for Spin

Talk to Gyro in the lobby and complete his quest line to unlock Spin. This style uses two steel balls that recharge over time and replace your revolver.

Space out your throws so both steel balls are not unavailable when an opponent closes in. Spin also includes close-range attacks and a counter, giving you more options than throwing from a distance.

Check Mount Stats Alongside Appearance

Mount customization includes horses, a camel, skins, and saddles. Mount identity affects attributes such as stamina, acceleration, and top speed.

Check those attributes when changing your setup. A different appearance and a different racing profile are separate considerations, especially when you are learning how long you can accelerate before running low on stamina.

Complete daily quests for additional money and rewards while working toward more customization options.

Practice Stand Combat in Battlegrounds

Battlegrounds gives you a place to fight with your obtained Stands, secondary weapons, and horse without progressing through the race stages. The mode takes place in a town with destructible buildings.

Use it to practice summoning your Stand, blocking, and connecting abilities before relying on those actions at a race checkpoint. For Anubis, draw your sword before engaging; otherwise, you will enter the fight using your bare hands.

For Tusk Act One, practice aiming at range and managing the recharging nail supply. For Spin, alternate throws with its close-range tools instead of spending both steel balls at once. Take those habits back into Stage Two, where combat happens alongside riders, hazards, and bounty hunters.
