How to Win a Race in A Bizarre Run

A wasted boost or a fall can cost you a race. If you’re searching for “A Bizarre Run how to win race,” focus on managing horse stamina, using slipstreams, and surviving the route’s hazards. Use Shift selectively, spend your one-time boost on a clear stretch, and call your horse with T after getting knocked off.

Start by learning the mounted controls so you can react without hunting for a key:

KeyAction
ShiftRun faster while on your horse
TCall your horse after falling off
FActivate your one-time boost
CPull out your secondary item
Hold CChoose your secondary item
SpaceJump

Choose the racing mode from the lobby, register before the start, and line up for the countdown. Keep your attention on the track: the race includes environmental destruction, and later stages allow direct attacks between players.

Manage Stamina and Time Your Boost

Holding Shift makes your mount faster, but it also consumes stamina. Watch that bar while accelerating, especially when you’re following another racer toward obstacles.

Use these mechanics deliberately:

  • Draft behind another horse. Slipstreaming provides a speed boost. Follow another racer to take advantage of it, then look for room to pass.
  • Spend stamina where you can use the speed. Press Shift on a clear route instead of accelerating straight into a blocked crossing.
  • Save F for a useful opening. Your boost is one-time use. Check the path ahead before committing it.
  • Recover promptly after a fall. Press T to call your horse back and return your attention to the route.

Avoid spending your boost just because someone pulls ahead at the start. Keep it available until you have a clear path where the extra speed can help you close a gap or challenge for position.

Handle Stage One’s Destructible Route

Stage one restricts direct gunfire against players, but the environment still gives opponents ways to disrupt your run. Revolvers can trigger TNT, bring down boulders, and destroy bridges or other pathways. Dynamite can also cause destruction and knock riders off their horses.

A Bizarre Run — Handle Stage One’s Destructible Route

Aim your attention beyond the horse directly ahead of you. Watch the next bridge, explosive, or narrow passage before accelerating into it. A route can become dangerous while you’re approaching.

When using a secondary item:

  1. Hold C to choose the item you want.
  2. Press C to draw it.
  3. Look for an environmental target, such as TNT, rather than trying to shoot another racer during stage one.
  4. Keep checking your riding line while aiming.

Use destruction when it can interfere with someone behind you. Avoid becoming so occupied with a shot that you ride into the obstacle yourself.

If you fall, use T to call your horse. Trying to keep fighting while separated from your mount distracts from getting back into the race.

Prepare on the Train, Then Survive Stage Two

After finishing a stage, you move to the train, where you can spectate and purchase secondary items for the upcoming stage. Use that break to prepare for the change in combat rules.

Stage two allows players to shoot each other with weapons such as revolvers and shotguns. Lassos can capture other players, adding another threat alongside terrain hazards and NPC attacks.

The two main checkpoints require different decisions:

  • First checkpoint: Survive and hold your ground until the fog arrives. The Boom Boom family then targets the closest players, so move quickly once that encounter begins.
  • Town checkpoint: The border opens after the required number of players have died. Pay attention to the gate condition instead of repeatedly trying to force your way through.

Farther along, Oya Kamova causes explosions around the river area. Watch the route through that section and keep enough attention on your surroundings to respond to hazards.

Pick fights around the checkpoint’s objective. When survival is required, protect your position; when the route opens, take the opportunity to move toward the finish. Keep your secondary item ready without letting combat pull your eyes away from the track.
